hi everyone, my name is Phúc (pronounced like fook with no aspirated k). i was born in quy nhon, vietnam, and moved to ho chi minh city, vietnam, for high school.

i graduated from grinnell college (grinnell, ia) in may 2022 with a psychology major and two concentrations in neuroscience and statistics. currently, i am a first-year cognitive psychology graduate student working in Dr. Nadia Brashier's lab at university of california, san diego.

 

my current research interests involve the cognitive and social determiners of how misinformation beliefs are formed and maintained. i want to understand how people start from naive consumers of misinformation to committed conspiracy theorists.

in my free time, i love shopping for groceries, making hot pot, taking photos, singing taylor swift's songs, and watching crime documentaries.
